Lilac Festival Unadkya

Flowers, of any kind, make me smile.
(Thankfully, people who need to know this, know it)
Therefore, quite naturally, I never let go of any opportunity to enjoy them, in whatever way I can.
And you can imagine my joy at the sight of hundreds of them, what’s more, of the exotic kind.

To give you a little background, we were on the road, on the way back from Niagara falls, around Rochester, with a glorious day ahead of us and happened to stumble upon the Lilac festival. Now admittedly, I forced this on my fellow companions, who being guys, were not quite interested in delicate things such as flowers.

In addition to rows & rows of colourful lilacs, there were various stalls of artisans, potters, designers, farmers & the likes, and the place, was budding with talent. It was heartening to see a festival that was organised to celebrate beauty, in all walks of life. We bought home made artifacts & ate handmade ice cream. So all in all, this excursion was a success.

For you, I have a glimpse of prettiness & reaffirmation that happiness, sometimes can be very simple, if you look for it in the right place.
